In the darkness of Governance, more stars shine brilliantly across New York State. This week, another eleven municipal governments in Cattaraugus, Cortland, Delaware, Essex, Lewis, Orange, St. Lawrence and Ulster counties proudly join 239 others, and 52 county legislative bodies across the Empire State to support citizens civil and constitutional rights. Together, an unprecedented 302 municipal and county governments, representing millions of New Yorkers, continue to follow a historic, united path in opposition to the unsafe law Governor Cuomo rushed into place in the dark of night on January 15th, 2013…A wayward law, enacted without transparency, intelligent debate, and through the improper use of an unnecessary “Message of Necessity”.

The 250 municipalities presently opposed to the SAFE Act are represented on the map as liberty loving “Shining Stars” of freedom. Each week, a little more darkness gives way to freedom’s light.
